Because my windows have varying gaps, I had to either trim the seal in half or double fit in larger gaps. It took some experimenting to get to this solution but it totally worked! I was able to fit it to the bottom part of the sash, reducing draught considerably. Haven't felt cold in the lounge all winter - thanks!

The really narrow gaps made the tool slightly blunt but by no means useless. If the gaps are quite narrow I'd recommend using two tools - one for keeping the seal down while you use the other to work the rest of the length in.

Thank you for such a superb product! I live on the south circular in London (a dual carriageway), and our bedroom has single glazed sash windows facing the road. Having finished fitting your product last night, the difference in noise (and I expect pollution) is immense. Last night's sleep was the best we've ever had in that house. My wife is very pleased! Having only found out about your product through the diydoctor website I suppose your main difficulty is to get people like me to hear about the product - I rent, and the reason I looked for a solution like yours is because our landlord rejected double glazing, and I didn't want to permanently seal the window shut. Have you tried directly targeting the rental market? I'm sure you'll have a lot of success once people hear about it.

Gapseal works very well. Was quite hard work to install... Easy where the gaps were larger but more difficult on the very thin gaps. Insertion into corners would have been easier with a second insertion tool.
